Random Acts #2

I tried to do a few Acts of Kindness this weekend.  A stranger in front of me at the store was short some change, so I gave them what they needed.  They were very surprised.  I was also putting my cart away and offered to take another persons cart with mine.  I am going to try to do more things in the coming weeks.

Random Acts of Kindness

Check out my SIL Jennifer’s post on Random Acts of Kindness.  She is having a Giveaway.  After reading her post, I was surfing the web and came across an article about a Random Act of Kindness.  It was a very gracious story about a college age student who was working at Pizza Hut.  It wasn’t your typical day though.  She (Osborne) was cleaning off the table after a family had left and noticed an envelope on the table.  When she opened the envelope, there before her eyes was a check for $10,000.  You see, her life long dream was to go to college and become a professional photographer, but her dreams were broken because of the lack of finacial aid.  The family who left the $10,000 tip were customers who came and ate there regularly and became to know her.  What she didn’t know was they had just suffered some family losses involving a car accident. Two family members had been killed.  They had won a large settlement and decided to help her dreams of going to college come true.  What a Random Act of Kindness!!!

I think this is a great idea!! I try to do little things like letting someone in front of me who has just a few items at the Grocery Store and I have a whole cart full and there is only two registers open. Random Acts of Kindness don’t have to big like the story I just told you about.   I love the idea of paying it forward.  So go over to Jennifer’s blog and check out other peoples ideas!!

Check out the story on AOL.
